Chinese investors: the SECP launches the “WeChat service” – Business & Finance

ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) becomes the very first regulator and public sector organization to activate the WeChat service.

The WeChat service will help Chinese investors make informed investment decisions and easily incorporate businesses in Pakistan. Through WeChat, users can instantly get information from SECP staff regarding the availability of names and company incorporation in Mandarin. This initiative is part of SECP’s ongoing efforts to create a culture of digitization and improve the user experience.

The use of WeChat is already widespread in jurisdictions such as Singapore, Malaysia and is catching on in Europe and South America. With China becoming a global financial power, it is more important than ever to enable communication with Chinese investors as it is one of Pakistan’s major trading partners.

SECP’s WeChat service will allow users to exchange messages, documents, images and payments for comprehensive support and solution. The service is accessible at any time, on the indicated number “03069365625” or WeChat ID “SECPAK” to connect directly with the SECP facilitation agent.
